Jill and I were finally relaxing after a long day of monotonous nothingness when I decided to read our blog. I chuckled to myself as I read about Bo Duke and the poopy seeds. I figured that she puts so much work into writing that I need to fulfill my sensitive male side by writing also.
It seems that I've been in a vacuum of space and time for the past year or so. I've lost touch with reality I think. Case in point, recently JIll and I found some really great friends in this area after losing all hope that there was anyone that we could really connect with. We were ready to throw in the towel and start wearing plaid coats with sweatshirt hoods, take up hunting "just for fun", and put a spoiler and colored windshield wipers on our cars... just to fit in. So we meet this couple and instantly hit it off. Now here's the weird part. It was as if we were dating all over again! I've never felt so non-heterosexual in my life. Jill would email and call Melanie constantly while Dave and I would stay up late nights discussing the history of the Quiche Mayan civilizations and their migratory patterns! It's really been great...but I think we need some time apart. It's really not them, it's us. No really...
Seriously though, it's been a real blessing for Jill to have someone to talk to during the day. It's important to have good friends whether near or far.

Great to hear from Scott - he's doing better than Mike at blogging, that's for sure! I am so happy you guys found such great friends...and a little jealous. We are still looking for our "Scott & Jill". We miss you guys!

isn't so nice to find friends you can connect with especially after moving somewhere new and having no one but eachother.
