Groundhog's Day

Have you ever seen that movie? My day is like the movie Groundhog's day. Every day is the same, and nothing really changes.
I can't decide what would be a good word to describe my day so far. Has it been eventful, adventurous, boring, stressful, or just plain normal? What was the best/worst/craziest part of my day? Was it the part where Ryley had a complete melt down at the doctors office and every freakin' parent was staring at me like they have never heard a kid scream before? Was it the part where Kirye dropped his passie and it rolled right under the car next to us so that I had to literally get on my stomach and stretch my arm as far as it would go to reach it? I must have looked like such a fool just to save his passie...but I couldn't leave without it because it was the only one I had with me. Luckily I was wearing a black shirt, which disguised the dirt all over me.

Or maybe, just maybe it was the part where I go in to the Gap to exchange a pair of shoes for Kirye and the lady takes 10 minutes to figure out the difference in tax between California and Washington (that actually didn't bother me that bad, but I had to add something to my list)? Maybe it was the part where I changed Kirye's diaper and literally 2 minutes later he poops. And it wasn't one of those poops where I can "save" the diaper. On a wipey scale, it was a 5 wipey poop.

Maybe the best/worst/craziest part of my day is yet to come. I do, after all, have to (volunteered to?? get to???) make 180 cups of caramel corn for my husbands graphic design club party tomorrow.

Question: Is it possible to have postpartum depression 10 months after the baby is born? I kind of feel that way right now. Am I in a funk because it is winter and I NEED spring to get here so we can get outside? Or am I really depressed? Does anyone else have this problem? I really do think I have seasonal affect disorder. I can't wait to start running outside again. I am sick of running on the treadmill. But the good thing about it is I can watch Ellen while I work out!!

Awwwwwww. OK, I totally know what you mean about Ryley's meltdown. I don't know why people act so surprised when little kids flip out sometimes. I mean, they are LITTLE KIDS. That is what little kids do.

At least they're in bed now! YAYYYY!

the funniest thing is when people get upset in church when your kid gets fussy. we're always so good about getting her out of there quickly, but people still have to give you snooty looks. it's always the old people and it's always the ones that had 8 kids and really should remember what it was like to try and get a two year old to sit still and be quiet during church. how soon we forget!

I think I have SAD too! This winter is dragging on for so long. I am easily irritated, tired, and depressed. I'm excited for spring!
